DRINKS

The drinks at Abbey are mostly handmade. We use as many local ingredients as possible and our barista Jessy, Eva and Marijke prepare everything daily. We have homemade elderflower lemonade from the Westerpark, freshly pressed juices and our own Salvador Vermouth that we cultivate in Malaga. Abbey has something tasty, fresh and good to drink for everyone.

Beer and wine

With 9 draft beers at Abbey we have a delicious beer for every time of day. We serve traditional beers alongside unknown beers and beers from local breweries. Each one unique in it’s own way. One of our favourites is the DAVO Road Trip. A fresh Tripel with herbal tastes. Dangerously easy to drink and very delicious.

During the selection of the winemenu there was mostly a lot of tasting. A lot of tasting. This has led to a wonderful selection of wines, with a lot of different types of grapes, styles and regions. Abbey has beautiful french, italian and spanish wines, but also a Malbec from Argentina or a Sauvignon Blanc from Chili. We also have a nice sparkling wine and a rosé.

Abbey also serves something very exclusive. IAbbey also serves something very exclusive. This is cultivated in the hills of Malaga where Abbey has it’s own winehouse, where we produce Salvador Vermouth and Salvador Moscatel . Two delicious drinks.

Coffee and tea

Coffee and tea

We serve the ultimate feel-good coffee. A blend as relaxed as a sunday morning, soft enough to muffle the bumps on the road. It’s full of the aromas of creamy chocolate and hazelnut, something Central-American coffees are known for. And made with love by our wonderful barista Jessy. Who acquired her skills in Australia. From the espresso to the cortado, and back again. Served with a homemade butter cookie. Now that’s how you’d want to start your day, right?

Contrary to our coffee (from Peru), our tea is cultivated around the corner. For example the “fresh Amsterdammer”. A fresh, wonderful smelling herbal tea with nettle, licorice root, fennel, elderflower, peppermint and lemongrass. Abbey works with Herbal tea Amsterdam. They stimulate the biodiversity in Amsterdam and do not use any pesticides. We also make fresh teas ourselves with mint, ginger, orange and lemon.

Spirits

There is also plenty to taste in Abbey in the field of spirits. Besides a nice selection of bourbon, cognac and whiskey, there are many local distillates to try. A good example is Bakers Best genever: an eco-genever brewed from unsold bread in a bottle of recycled glass.

Local bakeries donate stale bread, so there is no standard bottle of Bakers Best and every donation guarantees its own unique taste sensation. Bakers Best genever gives discarded bread a second life. One bottle of Bakers Best genever saves seven slices of bread.
